Now, let’s delve deeper into our assessment of Numbuzin No.3 Skin Softening Serum to determine if it truly lives up to the hype.
Core Principles in Simple Terms
Fermented products are made by fermenting certain ingredients, like plants or yeast, using bacteria or enzymes. This process breaks down the molecules in these ingredients into smaller, more easily absorbed ones. When you put fermented products on your skin, these smaller molecules can penetrate deeper into your skin, providing more moisture and nutrients.
Galactomyces is a type of yeast that’s been fermented. It’s known for its ability to brighten and hydrate the skin, and some studies suggest it can even help with wrinkles and skin texture.
Bifida is a type of bacteria that’s also been fermented. It’s great for hydrating the skin and boosting its elasticity, making it look firmer and more youthful.
Together, Galactomyces and Bifida create a powerful combination that can deeply moisturize your skin and improve its elasticity, helping it bounce back and look healthier.

Numbuzin no. 3 serum ingredients breakdown:
- Bifida Ferment Lysate (42%), and Galactomyces Ferment Filtrate (21%): These are the key fermented ingredients in the serum. Bifida ferment lysate and galactomyces ferment filtrate are both derived from yeast fermentation and are known for their ability to moisturize, brighten, and improve skin elasticity. They work together to enhance the skin’s barrier function, promoting a healthier and more radiant complexion.
- Niacinamide: Also known as vitamin B3, niacinamide is a versatile ingredient with multiple benefits for the skin. It helps to reduce inflammation, regulate oil production, and improve the appearance of enlarged pores, uneven skin tone, and fine lines. Niacinamide is particularly effective in enhancing the skin’s barrier function and promoting a more even skin tone.
- Sodium Hyaluronate: This is the salt form of hyaluronic acid, a powerful humectant that attracts and retains moisture in the skin. Sodium hyaluronate helps to hydrate and plump the skin, reducing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles and improving overall skin texture.
- Panthenol: Also known as provitamin B5, panthenol is a deeply hydrating ingredient that helps to strengthen the skin’s barrier function and soothe irritation. It has anti-inflammatory properties and can help to improve the skin’s moisture retention, making it softer, smoother, and more resilient.
- Adenosine: Adenosine is a naturally occurring nucleoside that has anti-aging benefits for the skin. It helps to smooth the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, improve skin elasticity, and promote collagen production. Adenosine can also have soothing properties, making it suitable for sensitive or irritated skin.
These key ingredients work synergistically to hydrate, brighten, and improve the overall health and appearance of the skin. Their presence in the serum suggests that it may be effective in addressing various skin concerns, including dehydration, dullness, uneven texture, and signs of aging.
Was it effective for me? Let’s get to my honest numbuzin serum 3 review.
My Numbuzin Review
I used this serum for two winters (warm Portuguese winter) months, every day for two weeks, and then every other day, and here is what I want to say.
I had really high hopes regarding it, as the ingredients list amazed me. The serum had to be both anti-aging and hydrating, helping with blackheads and overall texture.
Though I don’t have much texture, I wanted to improve overall skin health, strengthen the skin barrier to reduce occasional breakouts, and fix my oily t-zone.
Usually, I prefer serums with a shorter ingredient list as I know how to combine them and don’t want to introduce anything irritating as my skin is rather sensitive. I wanted to give it a try because of the hype and because I wanted to turn my eight-layer skincare routine into a five-layer routine, haha.
The serum’s texture is not watery; it’s like a thicker substance, but not very thick:
It spreads very well and does not leave any sticky feeling. Instead, it gives a healthy glow:
From day one, I noticed that my skin became softer and hydrated. Though winter here is not very cold, I use an air conditioner for heating, and the air became so dry that my skin became dehydrated, and nothing helped. So I appreciated that the serum removed this dry skin struggle so fast!
I used the serum for about 2 weeks daily and was really happy with the effect it has on my skin, it was more plump and hydrated, it looked really healthy!
What I also liked was that my sensitive skin didn’t get irritated.
But some breakouts started appearing here and there, not deep, like small pimples on the surface. I didn’t connect it with the serum but decided to use it less often.
About two more weeks later, the breakouts stopped (I think they might not be really connected to it, but who knows).
I continued using it, and after two months, I could see my blackheads starting to be less noticeable and my skin looking healthier, bouncy, and hydrated.
Makeup looks less patchy now, and if applied after applying the serum, it spreads so well!
The skin is plump, healthy, less prone to breakouts, and looks more youthful, at least to me 🙂
The other advantage of the serum is that it’s not watery, and if a bottle is 50ml, it will last very long.
Will I repurchase the numbuzin no.3 Skin Softening Serum? I think, yes (There is still too much of it in the bottle, so can’t say for sure; I can get bored, haha)
